Cold calling doesn’t work anymore. By cold calling, I mean the phone call, drop by, or email in which you introduce yourself and try to secure an appointment. It doesn’t work. I can share a dozen reasons why it used to work but doesn’t anymore, but that’s not the point of this post. The purpose of this post is to share ideas on what you can do to find new customers and secure appointments with them.
The key to gaining an appointment today is to influence your prospects to call you for an appointment. I’m not referring to inbound marketing efforts, but the goal is the same. For this post, I’m going to assume that you do not have an inbound marketing strategy. If you do, then it’s a bonus!
