Selling in the summer can be brutal… my top 3 strategies to making the summer productive.  Strategy #3.

Why did Jesse James rob banks?  Because that’s where the money is.

Yeah, dumb joke – I know.  However, I want you to remember this when you’re planning your vacations and other non-selling events.  You need to be working between January 15th and June 30th; and between Labor Day and the Friday before Thanksgiving.  You should also hit it hard during the two weeks following Thanksgiving.  You need to hit it hard, every day during those nine months.  Which brings me to our final strategy of making your summer productive…

 

Strategy #3:  Take your vacation during July and August.  Also, knock out those strategic thinking or “clean out the desk” days during these two months.  You need to disengage.  You need to think strategically.  You need to clean out that nasty desk.  However, you don’t need to do it in March or September when your customers and prospects are in the office and ready to work with you.  Do it now – while they’re on vacation.
