Ahhh, the long-forgotten “thank you’ page. You remember it, don’t you? That nice page that a client sees after they submit a form requesting your newest resource or brochure. Well, it’s likely you don’t remember it at all, because once it’s written, it’s often off the to-do list forever.
You may know the unwritten rule…don’t lead your client to a content dead end. Always give them a next step in their journey, also called a call-to-action.
Aside from a call to action, like “order now’ or “schedule an appointment,” there is also an opportunity to allow the client to continue their journey immediately. This can lead to cross selling, upselling, and closing opportunities.
Choosing the right Call-to-Action
Once a prospect or client has downloaded your resource, be sure to have a call to action button in place on your Thank You page. You never know when you’ve crossed the threshold from information provider to service or solution provider.
According to HubSpot, there are 39 call-to-action examples your clients won’t be able to resist. Here are a few examples…

Continue with More Content Resources
Aside from the primary call-to-action, be sure to provide one or more ways that the reader can continue to learn more. Essentially, keep the conversation going while you have their attention.
Provide graphics and information linked to additional resources of similar interest. It’s important to keep your customer headed down their buyer’s journey if possible.
The Thank You page can be a great opportunity to introduce additional ways your company can help solve their security challenges and bring value to their business.
