Vector Firm has a coach. Yep ... a consulting business paying for a consultant. Well into my second year, I’m very happy with my decision, and I thought it would be worthwhile to share what I’ve received so far…
- Guidance into areas unknown to me. This is the first business that I’ve built, so I have no experience on which to draw. My coach knows every detail. She can probably script my next ten years. Working from the end goal backwards has created a map forward, where before I was blindly moving – sometimes forward but many times backward.
- Ideas. My coach paid for herself (and more) with one idea: Don’t hire another consultant yet. “Make Vector Firm more efficient – you can get at least 50% more work done with your current team.”
- Accountability. Every two weeks I report on the strategic work that I’ve done, and I do it. It’s amazing how one person’s check-in impacts my work.
- Confidence to put my foot on the gas. Having my coach’s guidance, ideas, and accountability has given me confidence to accelerate every area of the business. No more second-guessing or left-foot-braking.
