When you’re interested in buying a product or service, what’s one of the first things you do? Chances are it’s one of the following: Either you’ll ask someone you know about the product or service OR you’ll go online and start researching to see what others are saying about the product or service. This is called Social Proof.  Social Proof and customer reviews help confirm your decision to make sure the purchase is the right one.

Case Studies are one of the most powerful content assets you can create to influence your prospects to make a decision. However, one type of case study can help you really stand out from the crowd: the Vertical Market Case study.

While any Case Study is good to have, a Vertical Market Case Study helps your prospects confirm you are the best option for their specific business. This content asset allows you to showcase your understanding of the problems their industry faces, your experience in solving those problems and the solutions you delivered.

Producing three to five case studies per vertical will help you stand out from the crowd and help position you as an industry expert.

Below are four ways to ensure your case studies receive maximum exposure:

  1. Dedicate an entire section of your website to case studies. On that landing page, create multiple vertical categories and organize your case studies by vertical so it’s easy for the visitor to find their industry and open the document.
  2. Write blog posts about your case studies. Break down the project and what you did for the customer – then at the end include “To download the full case study click here”.
  3. Share case studies on social media. Your social connections may know who you are and where you work, but educating them on the customers you work with and the solutions you deliver is a great way to showcase your services. BONUS - Add your case study to your list of publications on LinkedIn.
  4. Send an email to targeted lists. Use your case studies with a segmented list. If you have multiple prospects in a single vertical, send them a case study as a reminder of the work you do in their industry.

Vertical Market Case Studies will help you build trust and demonstrate social proof to your buyers in their industry. Now is the perfect time to start creating Vertical Market Case Studies to influence more prospects in 2019! Vector Firm can help.
