So, let’s look at #2 in this series, reevaluating your content and platforms.

Content Strategy 2: Reevaluate your content types and platforms

Customers are consuming more educational content as they’re working remotely. The pandemic has put a lot more time in the hands of everyone to focus on evaluating their options, and researching information.

If your prospects and customers are taking the opportunity to educate themselves about technologies and solutions that you offer, what will they find online? Will they find answers to their questions and helpful advice? Now is the time to look critically at your website and social media channels.

Start creating content that has an educational focus and you’ll start seeing instant traction.

Consider creating an ongoing virtual meeting or on demand webinar series. They don't have to be 60 minute productions either. Again, what used to be geared toward feet-on-the-street has been forced to a virtual environment that likely will never go back to the way it was entirely. Plus, recorded webinars go on to live forever. Once recorded, this “evergreen” content will continue to be a valued source of information for new prospects and customers who find it.

When was the last time you posted an educational video on YouTube, your website or uploaded a video in a social media post on LinkedIn? These platforms are not just where people are now, but where they are going to be as we all get back to work. Invest in identifying & publishing the right types of content for the platforms your prospects and customers are visiting.
