As business leaders, we’re looking for the best way to get our message to current and prospective clients. While informative and useful content is a priority, content distribution is critical.

Content distribution is a multi-faceted discussion. Formats, channels, paid versus organic reach potential, and other niche topics are only the beginning of marketing solution. Let’s look at the best times throughout the day to post to social media channels like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, three of the biggest social channels for security industry marketing.

To assist with making smart content posting decisions, Sprout Social conducted an evaluation of the various platforms and activity on them throughout the entire week.

Facebook

Facebook has been the latecomer when it comes to sharing online content for system integration businesses.  Most of your customers are probably already busy on Facebook keeping in touch with family and friends. With nearly two billion members, Facebook has quite an audience for your content.

According to Sprout Social’s report, the top time for technology companies to post to Facebook for overall maximum impact is on Wednesday at 10:00 am (Central Time).  Lunchtime is the next best time.  Sprout Social’s estimation is that people tend to check in on their Facebook feed during their lunch breaks.

Twitter

Twitter is a quick way to get a message out to your existing followers. New prospects may be attracted to your channel through re-tweets and hashtags.

For technology-focused companies, like security manufacturers and integrators, the ideal tweet time hits your customers’ phones on Tuesday at 9:00 am (Central Time). Their broader suggestions is to stay away from Mondays and focus on Tuesday through Friday between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm (Central Time) for normal tweeting activities.

LinkedIn
Business professionals frequent LinkedIn for industry information and market intelligence. According to Sprout Social, peak interest is on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (Central Time).
