Getting and promoting local customer reviews is second only to quality content creation. In fact, according to G2 Crowd, 92% of B2B buyers use online review sites to get information and recommendations to support their purchase decisions. Customer reviews are not just for restaurants anymore – systems integrators need to get focused in this area. This week’s blog is all about how to get started.

Start with Google My Business

Google encourages soliciting of customer reviews. Within your Google My Business account, you can copy a short URL link to share with customers who have completed your systems integration sales process. With the URL, they can navigate to a unique page where they can write their review. So, not only do you have a local testimonial, but it’s plugged directly into the Google SEO system for indexing.

Involve Your Sales and Installation Teams

Google recommends that you actively request customer reviews and simplify the process for your customer by providing your unique review link. They also encourage you to reply to reviews so that you show how much you value your customer’s input and opinion about your products or services.

Don’t forget to verify your business as we discussed in Part 2 of this series. Lastly, honest and authentic reviews are what your customers want to read. Don’t offer incentives for reviews as they often result in biased and dishonest reviews. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to reviews.
